Animal nutritionist makes it his life mission to save dogs from slaughterhouses
Marc Ching loves animals more than anything. He&rsquo-s founded the Animal Hope and Wellness Foundation as well as The PetStaurant, in which he is able to use his knowledge in pet nutrition and herbal practices to his advantage. He just loves animals. And when he found out that there are places in China in which dogs are tortured, abused and then slaughtered to provide meat and food for the other people in the area who actually enjoy eating animals for sport, he knew he had to do something. He knew that he had to find a way to rescue these animals in their time of need. In the past year, he has made it his effort and his mission to save more than 249 dogs to date. He is still saving dogs and plans on saving as many as he possibly can.
But, instead of working with the police to raid these factories and save dogs behind the scenes, Marc Ching puts himself in the front lines of everything he does by posing as a buyer and going into slaughterhouses to save the animals that are in there being tortured. He has seen things that he says you cannot unsee and that you never knew that the world was capable of doing. In the process he has been threatened, he has been beaten and he has had a gun pulled on him. However, he will not stop. Sadly only 61 of the dogs he&rsquo-s been able to save so far have lived through their injuries, and they are all back in the US being cared for and placed with families who will love them forever. What an amazing man with a selfless attitude.
