Giant alaskan malamute and this baby are best buddies
While many people often think of Great Danes or the Saint Bernard when referring to the largest dog breeds, the Giant Alaskan Malamute should definitely be in the same conversation. It&rsquo-s one of the oldest Arctic sled dogs and is a powerful and substantially built dog with a deep chest and strong, well-muscled body. While the regular Alaskan Malamute averages around 80 lbs, the giants can reach upwards of 180 lbs. That&rsquo-s absolutely gigantic by the way. Any dog over 100 lbs is pretty massive by most standards.
Which is what makes a video like this all the more interesting. I personally love seeing videos of dogs who are this giant but also this gentle. As you&rsquo-ll be able to see, this dog, who absolutely dwarfs his best friend (a little baby girl), is one of the most gentle and loving creatures you can possibly imagine.
Looks like the two of them are sharing a snack and eventually take things into the play room for a little fun. Most dogs would be aggressive in this type of situation. When there&rsquo-s food, get out of the way! But not this guy. He&rsquo-s fantastic.
