Amazing dog saves a drowning bird

The term &ldquo-man&rsquo-s best friend&rdquo- used to describe dogs couldn&rsquo-t ring more true! Dog owners everywhere will agree that their dog is their best friend, part of their family and oftentimes, even their little savior. There are no shortages of amazing feats done by dogs, and it&rsquo-s no secret that our furry canine friends are little heroes. They can be some of the most generous creatures and use their strengths for the good of others. They have kind hearts and many dogs tend to be gentle giants. In one instance, an amazing dog even saves a drowning bird – and it was all caught on tape!

In the brief, 22-second video below, you can see what looks to be a dog swimming in a lake toward the shore, along with the canine&rsquo-s owner coaching it by telling the dog what to do. Even with the owner speaking, we don&rsquo-t realize until more than halfway in that the dog is actually carrying a baby bird in its mouth. It isn&rsquo-t until the dog gives the owner the bird from its mouth while on shore that we actually know the dog has the bird!

Apparently, the canine had spotted the baby bird struggling to stay afloat in the lake, but was unsuccessful. Upon seeing this, the dog immediately jumped into the water to save the little creature. Needless to say, the dog was successful in rescuing and saving life of the tiny bird. Talk about a real hero!
