The amazing story of lexi, the one eyed pitbull
So often in our lives there is that one person or being that amazes us with their incredible life stories and really makes us feel alive. You can find that in a parent, friend, love, mentor – some even find it in their pet animals! I know that whenever I look into my rescue dog Romeo&rsquo-s eyes, I see a sweet, kind soul whose past I don&rsquo-t quite know but I can tell that there is something in there full of love and so much to offer the world. Likewise, in a viral video, one dog owner&rsquo-s pet brought her so much joy and love that she had to spread her one eyed pitbull pup&rsquo-s story with all.
Lexi is a special canine whose owners really loved her. The pitbull was rescued in a kill shelter in NYC, but it was later discovered that the adorable pup had cancer. Not only did she have cancer, she was also legitimately blond in one eye. Lexi was able to spend a good four months with the family who rescued her, albeit a short while. Everyone in the community came together to help save the poor canine&rsquo-s life, but alas she ended up not making it.
In the video below, you can see the owner MermaidDolphinNYC&rsquo-s video tribute to her beloved dog Lexi. The background music is Ray LaMontagne&rsquo-s &ldquo-Let It Be Me,&rdquo- which made the video even more heartbreaking. *Warning: you may need to keep a tissue box handy!
