Ever heard of the famed NYC Algonquin Hotel? This century-old establishment has put a roof over the heads of brilliant people like William Faulkner and Maya Angelou. But who’s its biggest pride? Matilda the cat. In the 1930s, “a rather disheveled feline wandered into the hotel searching for food and shelter,” so the staff gave her a home.
