What are the best dog breeds for city living?
So you&rsquo-re renting an apartment in a major city and you want to get your first dog. But what exactly do you do? City living is much different than rural living. There&rsquo-s not nearly as much space and with cities being so crowded it&rsquo-s a little more dangerous when it comes to taking your dog for a walk outside.
Also, can you leave your dog in your apartment for long periods of time? Temperament is much more important than breed when it comes to selecting a dog that can handle living in a small apartment, according to Karen from Chicago&rsquo-s Dog City.
Still however, make sure you do your research if you plan on having a dog in a major city, including whether or not your building even allows pets!
